Designer of the Week - Pretty*Baby*Boutique
This week get to know Annie of Pretty*Baby*Boutique. She lives in California with her husband and 2 children, Sean who is 5 and Samantha will be 3 in July.

JM: When did you get started sewing and creating?
ANNIE: 
I took a sewing class in junior high school,
but it never went anywhere. I got serious about sewing last fall when I was shopping for a Halloween outfit for my daughter.
A fellow mom at my son's preschool mentor me through me first big project. It's was a dress with a zipper! Then I just sort
of self taught from there, by reading books, asking questions, trial and error.
JM: When did you start selling your designs on eBay?
ANNIE:I started selling baby bracelets on eBay spring of 2006, I didn't sell boutique clothing till early this year.
JM:Do you remember the first outfit you sold on eBay.
ANNIE:
I do remember!
It was only months ago. It was an OOAK jumper twirl dress,
it didn't go for much but I was just really happy it sold.
JM: How did come up with your name, Pretty*Baby*Boutique ?
ANNIE: In order to get my daughter to wear my bracelets, I would tell her that it is so pretty and she was so pretty. That is how I get her to do anything! So it only makes sense to name my business after her, she is my inspiration.
JM: Do you belong to any boutique group?
ANNIE:belong to Elan Boutique and The Little Lady Boutique. Elan Boutique has a special place in my heart because it is my very first boutique group. The ladies are super talented and supportive. They challenge me and motive me to be a better designer.
JM: What is your favorite thing to create?
ANNIE:I love dresses! Probably because my daughter loves dresses! It makes her feel really special. When people ask her who made it, she says "Mommy", and that makes me feel special.
JM: If you could learn some new skills, what would they be?
ANNIE: 
I would love to learn how to be
a better photographer. It is not only important for marketing but preserving memories for my family as well.
JM: What other things do you enjoy besides making great outfits?
ANNIE:I would love to go on a Harry Potter Tour! I am a die hard Harry Potter fan, it would be really neat to see where the movies are filmed.
JM: What other things do you enjoy besides making great outfits?
ANNIE: I just got into making my own templates, I am still trying to master that skill. I love hanging out with my family, watching movies, and going to the beach.
JM: Anything else you would like to add?
ANNIE:I am incredibly honor to be chosen to be the designer of the week. There are a lot of ups and downs for a new designers and this was a big UP! A big thank you to my family, for being so supportive and understanding.
